From start to finish, Mind Tree is an auditory journey that takes the listener through all walks of life.

Every possible emotion is touched upon: melancholy, anger, excitement, and happiness being just a few, and all of them are perfectly blended into a cross-genre compilation of only a fraction of the talented artists that contribute to IDM Forums.

This is not an electronic album to look over.

Mind Tree is the anticipated third release from IDM Forums, and continues their tradition of releasing mind-blowing music from up-and-coming electronic artists.

[...] IDMf Net Label Release Posted by Frank in music, sartre on 04 14th, 2009 | no responses> Roughly a month ago Sartre entered a track to the 3rd compilation of the IDMf Net Label. According to the organisers of the compilation, over 60 entries were made and a huge amount of talent did not make it onto the IDMf003 compilation. Surprisingly, we however, did. The net label release titled Mind Tree which features the Sartre track, The Great Elk, is available as a free download and I will include the link at the bottom of the post. The album itself is of a very high standard ranging from heavy breakcore to some really chilled out electronica. I have so far managed to listen to the album once through and I have to say I am very chuffed to be on it seeing as there is so much talent on there. Quoted from the IDMf’s Net Label website: [...]

Allright, so I slipped on the IDM Forums new release last night, and let me tell you, there is some very quality music that has been put out. I’ve been a member of these forums for quite a while now, and I’d say this release is on par with the community’s talent.

I would recommend that you arm yourself with a set of head phones and set aside 80 min to go for a ride. IDM music is quite a trip, and if you haven’t been introduced just yet, this would be a wonderful introduction. Don’t go into this expecting POP music, or straight techno. They don’t call it Intelligent Dance Music for just any reason.

To all those involved in bringing this to fruition, Congratulations. Please accept this E-Pat on the back for a job well done.
