Hellscion is the digital music project of John Webster. From the backwoods of north Florida, he has been producing electronic music since 2000, whenever he could find a break from every other aspect of life. Beginning by recording simple midi songs in real-time, he moved to tracked music & learned about sequencing and complex sounds & song structures.
In 2005 he created the alias ‘Hellscion’ & became more dedicated to his music, shortly before meeting another artist known as Subtronik. From him hellscion learned more about modern DAWs, sound software, and production.
In 2008 Webster collaborated on a track with Subtroniks’ side project Solar Research with the song Gamma.
In 2009 he made his EP “No Light to Guide Me” available on archive.org. More information here.
He has also remixed the song “Stains” by Swedish metal band Violent Work of Art, available on their remix album Alternated Species.
Future projects include submissions for various other netlabel releases, the chemlab remix competition on acidplanet.com, an album for his industrial metal work “The Astral Project”, and another Hellscion album..
